1. Change your Password

Once you’ve remotely locked or erased your phone, you should contact your mobile carrier to report the theft. They can block your SIM card, which will prevent the thief from using your phone to make calls or send texts.

4. File a police report
Even if you don’t think you’ll get your phone back, it’s still a good idea to file a police report. This will create a record of the theft and may help the police if they recover your phone.
5. Be prepared for the worst
Unfortunately, there’s always a chance that you won’t get your phone back. If that happens, you’ll need to be prepared to start over. This means getting a new phone, transferring your data, and setting up your accounts again.
