Planning to buy a MacBook? Read this first!

Are you planning to buy a MacBook? Because you think you will be buying a reliable and robust laptop that will last longer than any other laptop on the market? Take a pause, and read the following experience from one of our users.

My MacBook Pro M3 pro, which I bought against all odds died randomly one fine day without any warning or anything. I was just watching a movie and it just went off. I tried every possible troubleshooting step available online but none of it helped. I went to the service center and they declared the logic board dead and the touch ID issue. I submitted the laptop and it took more than two weeks to fix it.

I am still uncomfortable just by the thought that what if it breaks down again? what if this happened the very next day of the warranty period was over? Apple customer care is quite weird too, you call them, and someone will register your case but the same person will never call you to give you updates or anything and when you call back, there would be another person picking up the call and you have to explain everything again to them. This is so frustrating.

On top of everything assume you have some huge data in your Mac and this happens, trust me there is no way you can retrieve your data. Please note that while submitting the laptop at the service center, they will take your acknowledgment and the first thing they do is erase your Mac. So if you have not taken back up of your important files, now is the time to do so. 🙂 There is something called time machine app in MacBook. Try to use that.

The way they ask you to connect with them is weird too. They give you a link where you can only send a text or voice message and there is no other way you can come to know if they have read or heard your message or not. Whenever you call them, the next person on the customer care will give you big promises to help you in every aspect. I asked them if this logic board becoming dead was not my problem right? Give me a replacement, but they did not agree and kept saying the same things like a broken record.

After 3 weeks of this horrendous experience of customer care and the product, I have lost all my interest and there is no pride now in using the product.

Anyway, I have decided never to buy an Apple product again in my life. Probably, It’s just takes your luck to go for a stroll once and you get into this horrible experience.

Hope you got some insights from the above experience of the user. Still, if you are planning to go for Mac, it is your choice. 🙂 Enjoy cheers!
