Definitely A helping hand!
First of all, you need to set your expectations right, then only you will be able to enjoy this product. 🙂 Here is my iLife V8s robot vacuum review. After a few days of usage of this wonderful home appliance, I can definitely put forward some of the pros & cons of this device.
Technical Stuff
- It’s not a smart robot, No AI built and all.
- It is not WiFi enabled. It doesn’t have a smart app control.
- Mopping is OK, can’t expect good quality similar to manual mopping from such a robot.
- The path mode is good. It covers almost 80-90% of my house floors.
- Battery backup is good for my home of around 7 to 8 hundred sqft. Can vacuum and mop in one full charge.
- There are two suction modes available and it’s helpful when you want it to do a deep vacuum.
- It has the option to schedule at a particular time of the day. In our house, it is scheduled every morning at 6 AM so when we wake up, we find the house clean and sparkling 🙂
- Sucks the human hairs but the long hairs get tangled easily in the brush then again, the cleaning is super easy!
Philosophical Stuff
- It is ready to work for you 24×7, unlike a maid.
- Doesn’t ask for a leave on Saturdays & Sundays.
- You have to help it so that it can help you. For example, clear your ground of the obstacles like tangled wires, a big chunk of plastic or paper, etc. Keep the ground clear every night if you are scheduling this for every morning.
- Hope it lasts long at least 2 years (for the money spent)
- [updates in the year 2023: it is still working like a charm and I just had to replace its battery after almost 2 and a half years.
- A bit high priced for its features, but worth every penny!
- Saves your time and effort a lot, for sure.
I don’t have carpet or pets at home so no comments on that. I ordered from Amazon and the seller sent me a used product with bad packaging and I had to return it. After that, I bought it from the iLife Store directly.
